We're excited to share some great news ... Cougar Boosters is planning an update to the Teachers' Lounge at CHS this summer! The HSA is always up for making the school day a little brighter for our CHS staff, and we know our CHS families are, too.

We're working closely with Cougar Boosters to get this refresh completed before the first day of school — and YOU can help put the finishing touches on this incredible project! Find out how in this message from Cougar Boosters:

URGENT NEED: SUMMER FOOD FOR CHS STUDENTS
Summer school days are long ... and the district doesn't provide breakfast or lunch. CHS HSA Cougar Cares works with CHS Counseling to keep snacks and water on hand so that hunger doesn't get in the way of learning. MEND Hunger Relief Network generously provides fruit every week, but help from our CHS community is needed for donations of snacks during the six weeks of summer school.

We know it's summer, so we made it simple. Please consider purchasing from our Amazon Wish List so we can continue to supply students with snacks. The biggest need right now is granola bars. All snacks should be store-bought and individually wrapped.

Thank you for supporting our CHS students! If you have questions or would like to shop and drop off locally, please reach out to [email protected].

Midnight Madness is a phone-free event, but we still have LOADS of pics to share!

Photographer Joy Yagid was on site for check-in and the bus parade. Claire Weiss (a local photographer and CHS parent) is sharing the moments she captured during the bus parade and at the venue. Plus, our chaperone team uploaded even more photos and videos here. Last, but not least, the roaming photo booth caught some truly adorable moments in time. CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR LINKS AND MORE INFO.

Huge thanks to Joy, Claire, and our MM26 chaperones for documenting this joyous milestone event!

HOORAY! We made it! Back to school, homecoming, homework, sports and activities, testing, finals, prom, "rising" a grade, graduation, and the all-night fun for CHS Seniors of Midnight Madness ... the 2025-2026 school year is a wrap!

The CHS HSA is proud to have worked closely with CHS families, administration, counselors, class advisors, and students to create, coordinate, and fund activities and events that supported and celebrated our students, staff, and faculty.

A huge thank you to everyone in our Columbia High School, Maplewood, and South Orange communities who offered generous donations, contributions, time commitments, and sponsorships to the HSA throughout the year. We could not have done it without you!

Midnight Madness couldn't happen without the support of the SOMA community, so we're deeply grateful for local businesses like Amy Straub Design, LLC, Liv Breads Artisan Bakery and Coffee Bar, First Choice Prep, and Sabatino's Maplewood. Each of these generous donations covered the ticket price for four students and helped make MM26 more affordable and accessible for ALL graduating seniors! ❤️

Thank you St. James's Gate Publick House for hosting our first "stop" on the MM26 Bus Parade!

St James Gate is a true publick house where people from the neighborhood share a pint and a smile, with a menu that brings back all the great recipes that grandma used to make – just good old “comfort” food. Beyond that, a good pint, some fine Irish whiskeys, and great Irish coffee all merge to make for good grub, good grog, and good music.
