We had an awesome time at our Songwriting & Production camp this Summer šŸŽ§ Our campers split up into bands to create their own original songs. Swipe through to hear what they made šŸ¤˜

Our campers taking part in a listening party! They gave each other feedback on all of their songs šŸŽ¶

Throughout the week, each band met with Emily to talk about creating a brand and image for their band. They picked a name, created a brand, and designed their own cover art for their song!

Heart of Stone by Bluebirds

Our campers met with Tom to record their own song! They learned about vocal production, using GarageBand, and arranging šŸŽ¹

Stronger than Ever by P.I.Z.Z.A.

Campers met with Gina throughout the week to learn about songwriting! Gina gave each band a prompt in order to create their songs. Our bands wrote their songs from either the title, the music, or the lyrics first šŸ“

Jordan Stackhouse is a multi-instrumentalist & composer based in Jersey City. He released his debut EP as a songwriter,Ā In Tons,Ā in 2025. Besides playing with his own band, Jordan performs actively with several other artists and bands based in New York City. (Nancy Whitaker, florid, Sandro Bevilaqua, Stefani Bondari).

Sandro Bevilaqua is a NYC/NJ-based composer/songwriter who blends indie-folk acoustic textures with ambient atmospheres and art-rock sensibilities. His music has been featured inĀ Rolling Stone Mexico,Ā and he recently saw one of his singles top theĀ Groover ChartsĀ for breakout artists both in the U.S. and abroad. He has so far released four singles off his new record,Ā New England, From MemoryĀ (to be released this Fall)Ā - with Jeff Thomas atĀ Fifteen Minutes of FameĀ calling the music ā€œa must listenā€ and ā€œan immersive experience on both physical and spiritual planes.ā€ His music is available on all streaming platforms.

In 2022, a few NJ Dads discovered that they all played instruments and lived within walking distance of each other. They started gathering in one of their garages to share their musical feelings, feelings which turned into songs, songs which turned into a recording. Theyā€™re only doing this ā€˜cause they need reasons to get out of the house when their wives & children let them.

Slowgrrl is the creation of singer-songwriter Violet Newman. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the band has been playing the DIY scene since high school. You can find Slowgrrl available on all streaming platforms.
