As I reflected on yesterday's graduation ceremony, I found myself thinking less about the diplomas and more about the journey.

For the past five years, I have had the privilege of watching many of these graduates grow into the young adults they are today. I have watched them discover new passions, overcome challenges, celebrate successes, navigate disappointments, and continue moving forward. Much like the book The Dot, each graduate has their own story, their own experiences, and their own mark they will leave on the world.

As I shared with the Class of 2026, there are four lessons I hope they carry with them long after they leave MRH.

First, every dot has a story. Every graduate arrived at this moment through a unique journey. Some paths were smooth, while others required tremendous resilience and perseverance. Their stories matter because they shaped who they are becoming.

Second, be authentically yourself. The world will offer many opinions about who you should be. I hope our graduates have the courage to remain true to themselves, their values, their voices, and their dreams.

Third, do not wait for perfection to begin. Life rarely provides certainty before asking us to take the next step. Some of the most meaningful opportunities begin with an imperfect start and a willingness to try.

Lastly, encourage others along the way. Success is not measured solely by what we accomplish for ourselves, but by how we help others discover their own potential. Leadership is helping someone else believe they belong.

As my final graduation at MRH comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude. Thank you to our families for entrusting us with your children. Thank you to our staff for investing in them each day. And thank you to the Class of 2026 for allowing me to be a small part of your story.

Your dot matters. Your story matters.

❤️ Dr. J

As the year winds down, I cannot help but think about the many small moments that helped shape each of these learners into who they are becoming. The friendships formed, the setbacks that built character and grit, and the lessons learned along the way have all been part of their journey over the last two years.

While their middle school chapter is coming to a close, high school now awaits with new opportunities, challenges, memories, and adventures to embrace and conquer.

MRH, help me celebrate the Class of 2030 and all that lies ahead for this incredible group of students!
