~ July 21st ~ Livestock Judging ~

On Tuesday, July 21st we had three of our FFA Members compete at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in the Livestock Judging Competion. These three had to judge sheep, cattle, and swine, as well as judge and place the animals the best they could to match the judge.

○ Our team of Brianna Klockgether, Claire Schumacher, and Emma Pithan received 6th overall!

○ Emma Pithan also received 7th Individually!

We are very proud of these three members for showing off our Chapter Name competing in Livestock Judging in Denison! Thank you to the Crawford County Fairgrounds for putting on this event and our Memebers for participating!

~ July 10th ~ Livestock Judging ~

On Friday, July 10th we had four of our FFA Members compete at the Monona County Fairgrounds in their Livestock Judging Competion. These four were tested on their skills for Judging different breeds and species of animals at the fair.

○ Our team of Bradley Jensen, Haley Jensen, Mya Boyle, and Caden Sheer received 5th overall!

○ Bradley Jensen was 10th individually overall.

○ Mya Boyle was 4th place individual!!

○ Honorable Mention, Mrs. Wimmer won the adult division!!

We are very proud of these four members, and Mrs. Wimmer, for showing off our Chapter Name competing in Livestock Judging in Onawa! Thank you to the Monona County Fairgrounds for putting on this event and our Memebers for participating!

~ July 11th ~ Hands On Education Stand ~

On Saturday, July 11th we had five of our FFA Officers help at the Monona County Fair for our educational stand.

○ Each participate had to toss a bag into the barn, where they were then quizzed on their agricultural knowledge.

○ Prizes were given to all of our participants!

We are very happy that we got to go to the fair and help provide a fun but educational game for our community! Thank you to all the participants and FFA Members for coming out to test out the game!

~ July 7th ~ Huge Shoutout!! ~

On Tuesday, July 7th we had three of our FFA Members crowned at the Monona County Fair!

○ Haley Jensen was crowned Miss Congeniality!

○ Jenna Rosener was crowned Miss Runner-Up!

○ Claire Smallwood was crowned as the Monona County Fair Queen!

We are very proud of these three girls for their hard work and very exicted for them to serve as the 2026 Monona County Fair Queen Court!

~ June 29th-30th ~ Officers Retreat ~

On Monday, June 29th, our FFA Chapter Officers met at the school for a fun day of planning and team building before heading to Crawford Creek, where the Officers enjoyed a night of camping.

○ The Officers were challenged to plan meals for the trip, set up camp, as well as planning the upcoming events for our FFA Year!

There are going to be many fun and new opportunities for our Members that the Officer Team is planning that you should be on the lookout for!! We are very excited to serve you all as your FFA Officers this year!

~ June 15th-20th ~ WLC ~

On Monday, June 15th, we send 1 of our FFA Members, Nina McMillen, to WLC, Washington Leadership Conference, in Wahington D.C. to learn many different leadership skills and tour the city.

○ Nina and many other FFA Members got the opportunity to see the capital, meet some senators, do some volunteering, and tour many other places around D.C!

WLC is a great opportunity to meet new people from all over, learn many new things, as well as get a once in a lifetime opportunity to show off our Chapter name!

~ June 9th ~ State Flouriculture & Nursery and Landscaping ~

On Tuesday, June 9th, we took 7 of our FFA Members to our State Flouriculture & Nursery and Landscaping competition, to compete with other FFA Chapters and to put to test the skills that they have been learning!

○ Jaidyn Hardy, Nina McMillen, Keely Weber, and Rick Masters were our team in Flouriculture where they received a Silver!

○ Parker DeVries, Caden Sheer, and Dillon Johnson were our team for Nursery and Landscaping where they received a Bronze!

These competitions are a great way to show off our Chapter and what our Members know! We are very excited that we got to take these 7 members!

~ June 4th ~ C**T ~

On Thursday, June 4th, we took 4 of our FFA Officers to our Districts C**T (Conference Officer Leadership Training), to interact with other FFA Chapters Officers and to hear from our District and State Officers about how to better lead our Chapter!
○ Rick Masters, Claire Schumacher, Sam Shrunk, and Jenna Rosener were our Officers that attended!!!

We hope what we can apply what we learned to grow our Chapter this year!
