~ September 17th ~ Soil Judging Workshop ~
On Thursday, September 17th, we had five of our FFA Members, Caden Sheer, Dillion Johnson, Quinlan Koenigs, Claire Schumacher, and Keely Weber go to the Emmestberg to gain more knowledge about their soil judging competion!
○ They got to go to two hands-on learning pits where they had the soil judge help them learn more on how to judge the soil they were looking at.
○ The five also got to have two practice pits where they got to judge the pit on their own.
○ Claire Schumacher, Keely Weber, Dillon Johnson, and Quinlan Koenigs are competing at Storm Lake on October 1st!
This was a great opportunity for our Soil Judging team to get to learn more about Soils and prepare for their competion! We thank Emmestberg for hosting us, letting us use their facilities, and also feeding us lunch!!
