USGM is excited to open enrollment for Fall courses! If you've sent us your email address during the summer, please watch your inbox over the next few days for special early enrollment information! Students have had a great summer while building beautiful guitars and learning the art of lutherie. USGM is looking forward to a new group of excited students to experience building an all-solid heirloom guitar this fall. We're also adding an entry level guitar making class for students interested in a 3 day beginner's build. Stay tuned for more details! DM us for enrollment info!

USGM Was excited to welcome Tyler to the shop for a 7-day build last week! He made excellent progress and built a beautiful guitar! Check upcoming post for neck attachment, etc.

Tim has put in a lot of hours this week to complete his Master Build! Tim is visiting from Wyoming and is almost complete with his 7-Day consecutive build. A lot of hours in the shop, exceptional woodworking skills, and a great guy!

This summer marks Utah School of Guitar Making’s 5th year in business! Here are a few throw back pictures (with more to coming) as we look back on the past five years! What amazing experiences we’ve had with our USGM family!

Emails are being sent out to all of you that have recently inquired about courses! Our books are BOOKED through mid-August, so we’re trying to find some additional dates for summer requests. Thank you for your patience!

We will open FALL COURSES after all emails/ messages have been addressed. If you’ve confirmed your dates and paid your deposit… you’re all set! Due to the tight schedule, if you’ve requested dates, please get your deposit in! We will be releasing dates due to the demand we have. We are looking forward to seeing and hearing the creative, beautiful, handmade guitars from our upcoming students this summer!

New guitars at USGM are popping and looking quite amazing. You can check out Adam’s Classical with African Blackwood and Spruce. And Oz is ready to finish his gorgeous Classical made with Rosewood and spruce. Adam added African Blackwood pieces in his rosette. If you’re ready to build a handmade all solid guitar, we’re opening courses for February and March now! Utah School of Guitar Making is THE best place to build a custom guitar!

USGM is accepting applications for first quarter now! By February, you could be playing your own handmade all solid acoustic guitar. We can’t think of a better way to start 2022!

It’s a wrap for 2021! USGM has had an amazingly talented line up in the shop finishing custom guitar builds! View new pics to see new faces and familiar faces all experiencing the beauty of guitar making. The creativity and experience at the shop is and has been exceptional! Pictures include a new student starting his build with a multi layered mother of pearl rosette; returning student Hal finishing a 12-string; creative Mr. Oz enjoying every visit to the shop; and a gallery of finished guitars with fresh approaches to design and gorgeous woods. 2021 may be coming to a close, but USGM is getting ready for 2022 courses!
