Eagle Care: The Nest and Beyond

Hello I am the new Child Care Coordinator!

I am a native to Maple River, grew up outside of Mapleton and graduate of Maple River class of 2011. I will be the coordinator for the Eagles Nest and transitioning to Eagle Care. I come from 10 years of medical background. I have a 4 year old son who is also in preschool as a Little Eagle! Maple River is such a great community and I can’t wait to start this journey!

An exciting day in Mrs. B’s room… their caterpillar hatched from its chrysalis and was released as a beautiful monarch butterfly today! 🦋 🐛

A wonderful rainy morning for a movie! We watched the movie “The Bad Guys” and enjoyed fresh movie theater popcorn. Huge shout out to the Wells Flame Theater for once again being so accommodating to our group of kids for this trip! 💙💚

Early childhood education builds the foundation for successful students! 🍎

Learning social emotional skills, building friendships, working on independence, self regulation, and building motor skills are all part of our day-to-day activities at the Eagle’s Nest Childcare Center of Mapleton. 🤩

Our Nest consists of a tight knit group of infants and toddlers that can’t wait to meet some new friends this fall! ❤️

A great field trip to River Springs in Owatonna yesterday for our School Age kids! 🌊 😎☀️🌴

The toddlers made the trek to the Mapleton Splash Pad this morning for their Tropical Swim fun! 🌴

Our infants are enjoying Tropical Swim Day! Mrs. Courtney also brought all of her fun tropical gear for the babies to explore and play with this afternoon! 🌺

We had so many wonderful performers showcasing their special talents this morning for our first ever Eagle Care Talent Show! ⭐️

We had such a fun time and some of us even overcame our nerves to put on a great show. I am so very proud of these students and their excitement for my new ideas! 💚💙

Heather Oachs is new to our Eagle Care team this summer! She is married to her husband, Cory, and they have 3 girls; Hailey, Brooke and Kayla. She also has 3 grandchildren; Harper, Quinn, and Ezekiel.

Heather has lived in Mapleton for 23 years. She was a stylist for 20 years and wanted a change. Prior to Mapleton, Heather grew up in rural Pemberton and graduated from JWP.

In her free time, Heather styles hair for weddings and spends as much time as possible outdoors and with her grandkids. Heather works as a Para with Maple River Schools during the school year.

⭐️ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ⭐️

Aidan has been working with the School Aged students at Eagle Care just starting this summer! Aiden’s family consists of his mom, Cindy, his dad, Brett, and his brother, Ethan. Aiden is from Wells MN. He enjoy playing sports and spending time with his family and friends.

We had our FIRST EVER Bike Day at Eagle Care yesterday. It was a big hit with the kids! After all of that pedaling… we cooled down with some sherbet floats! 😋 🚲

⭐️STAFF SPOTLIGHT ⭐️

Courtney Mitchell has been our Infant Lead Teacher in our Eagle’s Nest Childcare Center since October of 2020, prior to that she worked for our Eagle Care Program as a Preschool Paraprofessional since April of 2019. Courtney and her husband, Craig Mitchell, have a 7 year old daughter named Indie!

Courtney is originally from Plainfield, Iowa and currently resides in Minnesota Lake. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, going to concerts and shows, listening to music, shooting photography, and watching movies . Courtney says her favorite thing about working with Eagle’s Nest is watching the kids learn and grow.

“Their personalities are unique and fun! When the kids greet me with hugs and big smiles it makes me feel great! I try to help the kids learn something new each day! Baby and toddler snuggles are the best😊” -Courtney

Dramatic play is so important when building the creative and imaginative connections in a young child’s brain! ⚡️ 🧠 👠 These young ladies are headed off to the “zoo”!

Aaron Annis has been working with our Eagle Care school age program since November of 2021. His parents are Jeff and Linda Annis. He has a brother Adam and sister in law Nicole, sister Heather and brother in law Andrew (and their little one Haley)!
Aaron was born and raised in Mapleton! He enjoys golfing, curling, and umping/reffing at sports events. Aaron says his favorite thing about working with Eagle Care is watching the kids grow throughout the year.

Hello! My name is Morgan Myers and I am so excited to introduce myself as your new Childcare Coordinator for the Maple River School District! I have over 5 years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant/Billing Manager for Little Giants Early Learning Center in Blue Earth. In 2015, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management. I was born and raised in Blue Earth, now raising my own three children in the area with my husband. Any free time I have is spent with my family, going camping, shooting photography, or working as a real estate agent.

Early childhood education is such a critical piece to a child's journey and development. My goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable childcare experience for the Mapleton area that allows your little one to build a solid foundation and confidence for the rest of their academic career.
