Senior Meetings have begun! Counselors have been in senior English classrooms and are calling down each senior to discuss their future plans individually.
Please remember to visit the College and Career Readiness Center in the cafeteria. It's open Tuesdays and Wednesdays periods 4-6. Parents are welcome too! We have an ISAC financial aid expert as a guest speaker every other Wednesday as a great resource as well! She'll be back on September 20th.

Seniors, if you are planning on attending Waubonsee Community College this fall, make sure to make an appointment to see an advisor before going since this is a very busy time. WCC is offering a number of Fully Caffeinated and Charged Up tours. Students can RSVP for those by going to https://www.waubonsee.edu/admission/visit/index.php

Waubonsee Community College is offering a CTE Experience event, coming up on March 22nd from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Aurora Downtown Campus. This event will highlight the following programs Health Information Technology,Health Care Interpreting,Legal Interpreting,Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomy,Interpreter Training, and Sign Language.

Waubonsee Community College will have an Experience Waubonsee event, on April 12th, at the Aurora Downtown campus. This event will run from 6-8:30 pm and will go over Waubonsee's available programs, getting started information, financial aid, student resources, as well as tips for those "still shopping" for a college. It is that time of year again…Prom Time! Please help us spread the word about this great opportunity for your students to get a “Dress 4 Less” at Cinderella’s Closet. All female high school students with valid student ID are invited to participate.

On March 18, 2017, 9am – 2pm, we will help make dreams come true for hundreds of modern-day Cinderella’s at the twelfth annual “Cinderella’s Closet” event ~ a formal wear boutique where high school girls can purchase a dresses, jewelry, purses, pretty much everything that a girl might need for prom (while supplies last) for only $15 (or free with a referral form).

At the event, girls are greeted by "Fairy Godmothers" who serve as their personal shoppers as they select from hundreds of beautiful dresses –all current styles, many new with tags, in sizes ranging from petites to plus sizes. Once each girl has found her dream dress, she can select jewelry and other accessories to make her outfit complete.

Hi everyone! We've been advised that many new students are still having issues getting in to Award Spring to apply for scholarships, so there is now (another) new process! If your students are dual credit or early graduates they would sill get into the application through mywcc using their Waubonsee X number and Waubonsee email address. If your students do not have a Waubonsee email address (they still do need the X number), the process is as follows:

Please visit our website, www.waubonsee.edu/foundation, and click on the link to Learn more about applying for 2017-2018 scholarships. Then under the section for NEW STUDENTS, click on the link to Start or complete your scholarship application. You will see a screen for prospective students; do NOT fill in the email address or password on this screen. Click on the yellow button that says Register and it will take you to a screen where you will enter your email address and input a password.

Each year the Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships for deserving area students. For the 2016-2017 academic year, the Waubonsee Community College Foundation has awarded 293 scholarships totaling more than $256,000. Learn more about applying for 2017-2018 scholarships.

Please let any students or parents know that the PSAT scores will be available on Monday, Dec. 12 for students to pick up a paper copy. Students can access their PSAT scores online Dec. 12th as well. They will need to set up an account with College Board:

Course selection for next year is quickly approaching! Students will be receiving a colored registration form Tuesday in their English classes. Please keep this form and begin to fill it out this week with your teachers. Students are expected to have this form filled out and with them when they meet their counselor. All appointment times are posted in the library, commons, and cafeteria.
