The future looks promising for these interns who represented SU at the Teachers of Promise Institute today! The early childhood, elementary, secondary or physical education interns were nominated by their internship supervisors for this honor. In addition to today's experience, they will be mentored by former Maryland Teacher of the Year semifinalists during their first year of teaching.

For 100 years, Salisbury University has been the heartbeat of education on the Eastern Shore and beyond. What started in 1925 as the Maryland State Normal School—with a dedicated mission to train the next generation of educators—has grown into a powerhouse of innovation and academic prestige. From the first graduating class in 1925 to the Class of 2025, our teachers have shaped minds, inspired dreams, and built the future.
