Students at Elm Creek Elementary School recently participated in a vibrant, school-wide art project inspired by the incredible glass sculptures of Dale Chihuly. After learning about Chihuly’s unique style and his large-scale, colorful installations, students teamed up with their buddy rooms (each primary classroom has an intermediate buddy classroom) to create their own masterpieces. Each student painted recycled water bottles using bold colors. The bottles were then carefully cut and assembled into stunning collaborative sculptures that beautifully mimic Chihuly’s flowing glass artwork. The final display is a true celebration of artistic teamwork and creativity and can be seen hanging in the Elm Creek library.
