Osseo Area Schools recognizes the significance of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Jubilee Day. In observance of this holiday, all district schools and administrative offices will be closed today, June 19. We wish our entire community a meaningful and joyful Juneteenth!

Community Education Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) 'ECFE at the Park' returns this summer on July 9, 16, 23 and 30.
These outdoor classes bring families with children from birth through age 8 together at local parks for play, exploration and learning in nature led by ECFE staff.

The first week of Community Education Camp ROCKS! mini-camps is off to a strong start at Rice Lake Elementary School, with students exploring science, art, LEGO® robotics, racing and Spanish through hands-on learning experiences.
From science experiments and retro art designs, creative problem solving and Spanish, students are building new skills, creativity and having fun.
Community Education Camp ROCKS! mini-camps give students ages 3.5 up to grade 12 opportunities to learn new skills, work together and and stay engaged through weekly summer camps.

- Friday-only Mini Camps for elementary to high school students
- Teen Driver's Education for students ages 14½ to 18.

Last night, families got a head start on summer fun during Community Education’s Summer Kidstop Meet and Greet events at Weaver Lake: A Science, Math & Technology School and Basswood, Oak View and Woodland elementary schools.
Students and families explored learning spaces, met staff and became familiar with the routine and schedule.
The events helped build connections and ease the transition into the summer school-age childcare program that will serve 1,462 students entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall.

Osseo Area Schools’ Community Education Early Childhood & Family Education program was approved for a planning grant this year in partnership with the Northwest Family Resource Collaborative (NWFRC) to create a Family Wellness Framework that will support the well-being of families with young children.
