We had such a great time at our Pet Portrait Painting class last Saturday at the Edina Art Center! 🐾🎨
Kids and adults alike created amazing, one-of-a-kind portraits of their favorite furry friends. From playful pups to cuddly cats, every painting was full of personality and creativity.

This week our young artists tackled one of the coolest exercises in art — drawing the same scene four times and exploring different color schemes on each one! 🌈

Our artists are exploring bold color and mesmerizing patterns as they design their own mandala CDs—tiny masterpieces full of symmetry and style. ✨
Plus, families are coming together to paint a beautiful dragonfly at sunset on canvas—capturing glowing skies, peaceful moments, and a little bit of magic. 🧡
We love seeing creativity bloom at every age!

We’ve been having so much fun with water soluble oil pastels lately! 🎨 Students used texture plates to create incredible layered effects, then added a little water to blend and transform the colors. This week our little artists brought the animal world AND the deep blue sea to life — one fold at a time! 🦁🐡 Our students discovered the magic of pop-up art, turning flat paper into 3D creatures that leap right off the page!
From roaring lions to glowing jellyfish, every piece is bursting with imagination and color 🌈
