Celebrating the Retirement of Mrs. Rita DiCarne!
After 40 years of faithful service as a dedicated Catholic school educator, Mrs. Rita DiCarne is retiring, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be woven into the fabric of Our Lady of Mercy School.
During her years at OLM, Mrs. DiCarne served as the 7th Grade English Language Arts and Religion teacher, inspiring generations of students with a love of reading, writing, and their Catholic faith. She also faithfully moderated the National Junior Honor Society, encouraging young leaders to embrace the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
Rita's gifts extended far beyond the classroom. She was a devoted colleague and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer support to anyone in need. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives and helped make OLM a special place for students, faculty, and families alike.
Though she will be deeply missed, Mrs. DiCarne has left an indelible mark on the halls of OLM and in the hearts of all who have had the privilege to know her. Her impact will continue to be felt for years to come through the many students she inspired and the friendships she cultivated.
Rita, thank you for four decades of extraordinary service and for sharing your talents so generously with the OLM community. As you begin this well-deserved retirement, may your days be filled with wonderful books, cherished memories, and precious time spent with your four grandchildren.
Congratulations, Mrs. DiCarne, and may God bless you abundantly in this new chapter. You will always be part of the OLM family.
