Welcome back SPARK faculty and staff. We had a wonderful first day back. A lot of learning and preparation is taking place this week. Today, we would like to thank Hannah Savell-Edward Jones Financial Advisor for visiting our campus today and being such an asset to our community. She provided helpful insights and advised us on retirement and insurance. Mrs. Savell brought the SPARK staff coffee from the Blonde Barista (such a wonderful treat). The information she provided was so very helpful and we are extremely grateful for her taking the time to provide us with pertinent information regarding the preparation for retirement. We are looking forward to the very best year and are so excited to see all of our students next Monday.

SPARK uses BASE as our social emotional curriculum. This program helps students reflect on their feelings as well as develop competencies in self-awareness, relationship skills, social awareness, and responsible decision making. Each year, we have monthly focus topics that the students are responsible for completing. At the end of April, we wrapped up our modules for the spring semester. Each student who completed each module for this semester was rewarded with their favorite drink and snack as well as being entered into a drawing for a grand prize of some of their favorite things. We appreciate the hard work these students have put in as they balance their academics while also making time for social emotional learning. We also would like to send a huge shout out to Ms. Ricki. She deligently counsles our student’s and encourages them to engage in social emotional learning. This semester’s winner IS………
