🌎✨ Celebrate the world with us at our Festival of Nations! 🎉
Join us on Saturday, October 24th, from 10 AM–12 PM for a special community celebration of the many cultures that make our community so unique! ❤️🌍
Enjoy a delicious potluck, music, games, cultural performances, and our one-of-a-kind Trunk-or-Treat with a cultural twist! 🚗🎶🍽️
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families are encouraged to bring a favorite dish that represents their heritage and sign up to decorate their car trunk to share a little about their country of origin.
Let’s come together to celebrate our diversity, share our traditions, and learn from one another! 🌎💛

🚒 Today, we had some very special guests at Avant Garde Montessori - firefighters!

Our students had the opportunity to see a real fire truck up close and learn more about the work of firefighters. They shared about their profession, showed the children some of their equipment, and answered their questions.

The students were so excited and listened with great interest! ❤️

There is something beautiful about watching a toddler become deeply absorbed in their work. 🤍

In a Montessori environment, independence is not rushed—it is carefully nurtured. When a child is given the time, space, and freedom to work through a task on their own, they are developing much more than a skill.

They are building concentration, coordination, confidence, persistence, and independence.
We may see a toddler carefully carrying an object, pouring, sorting, cleaning, or repeating an activity again and again. To an adult, it may seem simple. To the child, it is meaningful work.

The prepared environment gives children the opportunity to “I can do it myself.” And when we step back, observe, and allow them to experience the process, we give them something incredibly valuable—the confidence that they are capable.

🌱 Follow the child. Protect their concentration. Trust their capability.
This is the beauty of Montessori. 💛
