The Crestwood Local School District is located in the north central section of Portage County. The district was formed in 1956 with Hiram being added in 1964. The district has three townships: Hiram, Mantua, and Shalersville; and two villages: Mantua and Hiram. The district encompasses 75 square miles which is mostly rural. A large number of residents are employed in metropolitan areas surrounding

Portage County. Within Crestwood Local School District are the following schools:

Crestwood 7-12 Campus housing grades 7– 12

Crestwood Intermediate School housing grades 4-6

Crestwood Primary School housing grades PK - 3

The central office staff is housed in a separate facility. Many students attend Maplewood Area Joint Vocational School (most of the students are transported). There is a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities only minutes away. Akron, Kent, and Youngstown Universities and the Northeastern Ohio University of Medicine are within a 25 mile radius.

We were able to celebrate over 70 soon to be kindergarten students this morning who have spent this week at Safety Town. Special thanks to Mrs. Reese who has put this on for 14 years and to the Mantua Rotary Club for their financial support so students could attend! This is the largest group of students we've had in 14 years. WOW!

Huge shout out and thank you to Crestwood student, Andrew Kuffer. On Saturday June 6th, Andrew and a group of scouts and leaders from Troop 575 gathered to complete Andrew's Eagle Scout Project. They built 5 new picnic tables with pressure treated wood to withstand the elements of Ohio weather for our 7-12 building to enjoy. Thank you for giving back!
