Join us for a free community gathering on June 13 at 5:00 PM in beautiful Ephraim Canyon.
We'll meet at the Ponderosa trailhead among the pines ;)

Come spend an afternoon/evning surrounded by nature, rhythm, and good company. Enjoy interactive taiko drumming in the forest, s’mores around the fire, and a welcoming community atmosphere :)
Doesn't matter if you've played taiko before or not! Even if you are simply curious, everyone is welcome. Come connect with others in our amazing community, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the energy of drumming in nature!

Free s’mores will provided and you're welcome to bring your own drinks, hot dogs, foil dinners, or favorite campfire treats!

What to bring:
Camp chair or blanket
Water or your favorite beverage/NO alcohol
Campfire dinner or snacks (optional)
Friends and family!

It's a busy spring for us at UTAIKO.... it's amazing to see our community growing and doing so much more than just taiko. Sharing nature with hikes, even just walking around town, service projects and so much more. Our taiko community is really inspiring and so is our Sanpete County community.

Central Utah Counseling Center invited us to play at the Mt. Pleasant Community Night last week and we just had the best time! It was so amazing to see all the health initiatives we have here in Sanpete County and also fun to talk to all the people visiting and sponsoring tables!

Big shout out to Jocie Rojas at CUCC. Jocie put the event together and wow, she's a powerhouse and one of the coolest people around! Looking forward to more and more collaboration!

Our summer semester begins June 2nd, and I know people always say "hurry and RSVP because spots are filling up fast!" but in this case I actually do mean it. We're over half full already so if you're interested in exploring taiko and so much more, come on out and see what we're all about!

On Tuesday, June 2nd, we are opening our doors for a FREE Trial Week. Come feel the power of the drum, meet our amazing community, and see why group drumming is the ultimate brain-body workout.
Research shows that group drumming actually shifts your body from an inflammatory, stressed state into an anti-inflammatory, relaxed & healing state.
And we have a blast doing it!!

Session 1: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Session 2: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Who: Ages 8+ No experience needed.

We are playing taiko in the beauty of nature, bringing people together for more than just drumming, and are building new collaborations with the Central Utah Counseling Center! UTAIKO is about community, Health & Wellness, connection, and supporting one another.

Had an absolute blast with Patrick Cruz over the weekend! Patrick is a champion odaiko player and one of the lead instructors for Makoto Taiko in Pasadena, CA.

He visited us here for an Odaiko workshop and a Katsugi Okedo workshop on Saturday and it was fantastic! Then I took him out to enjoy some of Utah and our amazing landscape and community!
Thanks for coming Patrick! We wiill see you at the Utah Taiko Experience in July!
