Go with the Flo Adventures is heading to the Annapolis Sailboat Show this weekend, the largest in water sailboat show in the world.

Light wind dominated today but provided the perfect learning environment for nice and easy sail hoists, tacks, jibes, and lead up practice to man overboard drills. Hart to Hart, our Colgate 26 is the ideal boat for light, moderate and heavy winds. Winds will pick up tomorrow…looking forward to another great day on the water, under sail.

A great day (so far) on the water with ideal learning conditions for ASA 101, beginning keelboat sailing. Unlike yesterday’s feisty winds, today is light and easy. We were met by a pod of Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins as we headed out to Shallowbag Bay.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later...all stoked to sail this weekend on our Bristol 38.8, Go with the Flo for an ASA 103 Coastal Cruising class and Mr. Asaias, first hurricane this year, has decided otherwise. We could have gotten Saturday in but Sunday is a total washout. We'll get the spin off, so plenty of rain and wind heading our way. Since it's not good to scare the students, we've postponed to later in the month.

That’s a wrap on our fall ASA 104, Bareboat Charter Class. As our CFO Amy likes to say, we did ALL the things…systems maintenance, how to handle common emergencies, resource conservation, cooking in the galley, anchoring, docking, navigation, trip planning, and oh yea, LOTS and LOTS of sailing!!! And the view from today’s classroom didn’t disappoint, a pod of dolphins decided to pay our class a visit.

Retired National Park Ranger from Tennessee getting it done for ASA 104, all the advanced sailing and navigation skills, along with a solid understanding of boat systems to confidently bareboat charter. Last night at anchor and we are rewarded with a great sunset.
