60-plus faculty and staff, who worked together at Manteo Elementary School during the years 1980- 2010, attended a MES reunion at the Dare County Shrine Club on June 24, 2026. There was an abundance of smiles and hugs and a few tears as the group enjoyed reminiscing about the “good old days” at Manteo Elementary School. The planning committee, Carrie Vrablic, Martha Cain, Bea Basnight, and Debbie Ashe, is shown here presenting at $200 donation to Sarah Pritchard, Principal of Manteo Elementary School, in honor and memory of the MES faculty and staff.

Every day is a good day to put books in our students’ hands! We are so thankful for Downtown Books’ partnership in making this happen!

With the help of donations from Megan, Lois and our inner circle memberships we donated over 80 books to Manteo Elementary’s Summer Reading Program! Every child will get to pick one out to keep forever! If your child receives a book and you’d like to share an image with us please do!!!
