San Joaquin County: The problem in San Joaquin County is a rise in hospitalizations and increasingly limited hospital capacity. The suspected drivers of this are increased social gatherings combined with workplace transmissions, the state says. In response, the county is being told to "increase public messaging on the importance of personal protection measures and the risks involved with mass gatherings in multiple languages."

Wow,
What an amazing week it has been. After the initial shock of all that has been going on, scrambling to figure out how to adjust to the new way of life we are all experiencing, we finally made some decisions on how to move forward here at Manteca Martial Arts. First we tried one on one private lessons 6’ apart at the dojo as per the CDC guide lines. The MMA students where willing and understanding as well as motivated and determined to stay on track with their goal of Black belt.
So we had a great response. Then a few days later as new information came to light, we where advised to close completely and stay home.
So once again we adjusted and recommended online classes. Video training through FaceTime, Zoom, and Google Duo. Keeping in mind none of us had even heard of these things a week ago except maybe FaceTime to talk to our kids. Lol.
So now we are sending out our written material to all the students, making videos and teaching the most amazing students a dojo could ever hope to have. The determination and perseverance has been amazing to watch. The sign of a true martial artist. I am so very proud to call these people Manteca Martial Arts parents and students. Thank you so very much for your patience, your understanding and your willingness to dodge and weave, punch and kick this invisible enemy to the curb.

As per the cdc and state requirements we will be cancelling all classes until further notice. Miss Jamie Sensei Mark and all the staff at MMA will be keeping you in our prayers and hope to be back on the mat with you very soon.
