🍎Crunching into Farm-to-School Month🍏

District Office staff joined together this morning for MUSD’s 3rd Annual Apple Crunch Day, taking part in the districtwide crunch at 8:15 a.m.

By taking a bite of locally grown California apples, participants helped celebrate local agriculture and the farmers who help nourish our communities.

Thank you to everyone, especially our Nutrition Education department, and those who helped make this year’s crunch one to remember.

🎉🏆 Nile Garden Elementary is celebrating a HUGE win! 🏆🎉

Our incredible 5th and 6th graders answered an astounding 602,165 math questions through Prodigy, earning first place in the Titan Tier of the 2026 Prodigy National Cup and an extraordinary $100,000 technology grant for their school! 💻➕✨

Prodigy Co-CEO Alex Peters presented the award as students, staff, and special guests came together to celebrate this remarkable achievement. We are so proud of our young mathematicians for their hard work, determination, and teamwork—way to make every question count! 🌟📚🎊

We’d like to thank Board Trustee Marie Freitas, Rene Knapp, Director of Elementary Education, and the Nile Garden Elementary Administration Team for being in attendance and helping the school celebrate this exciting milestone.

August Knodt Elementary saddled up for Dolly Parton Day (9/25), a rodeo-style celebration of the country music icon and her love of inspiring young readers! 🐎✨

From kindergarten through 8th grade, students took turns showing off their best moves and line dancing to the Cupid Shuffle. 👢🎵

After dancing up an appetite, our amazing Nutrition Education team fired up a BBQ for the whole rodeo crew! 🍔🔥

East Union High School took over the airwaves this morning, and the Lancer Pride was impossible to miss! 💙❤️📣🏈

KCRA 3 Sacramento brought its weekly sports segment to East Union High School this morning, shining a well-deserved spotlight on the undefeated Lancers and their incredible 3–0 start to the season! With East Union preparing to face Placer High School tonight, the campus came together bright and early to show the entire region what Lancer spirit is all about.

Students from Band, Cheer, Little Lancers, Flag Football, Football, LEAD, ASB, Link Crew, and Phenix packed the broadcast with nonstop enthusiasm. Their cheers, school spirit, and energy brought every live and pre-recorded segment to life and made East Union’s pride come through loud and clear on KCRA 3! 🎶📣

Now it is time to carry that momentum into tonight’s matchup. Good luck, East Union, and keep that Lancer Pride going strong! 💙💛🏈

French Camp Elementary celebrated its 16th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration, bringing students from across MUSD together to honor and share the rich cultures and traditions of Hispanic communities. 🎊🌸

Through vibrant dances and songs, students showcased traditions from Honduras, El Salvador, and Costa Rica, creating a joyful celebration of heritage, culture, and pride. 🎶❤️
