Sierra High School Timberwolves

04/03/2026

We are very proud of our Sierra High students and staff! It’s a GREAT DAY to be a TIMBERWOLF!

Sierra High School has been named a 2026 California Distinguished School! 👏📚

This statewide recognition highlights Sierra High School’s powerful impact on academic success, student growth, a positive school environment, and a high graduation rate!

“This distinction honors the hard work and dedication that occurs every day at Sierra High,” said Anne Marie Shaw, Assistant Principal of Sierra High School. “Our students are held to high expectations and continue to rise to high expectations, and our staff works relentlessly to ensure equity, opportunity, and optimal outcomes for all students.”

Schools are selected for this honor by the California Department of Education based on data, not through an application process, making this recognition even more meaningful. This honor reflects the passion and dedication of Sierra High’s students, staff, and families. 💙

Congratulations, Timberwolves! 🐺

We are so proud of this crew of amazing counselors!

School counselors play a vital role in supporting academic success, career readiness, and student well-being. 🌱 This week, we recognize the dedication and impact of our counselors.

From Sierra High, Assistant Principal Anne Marie Shaw shares: “Our students and staff are incredibly fortunate to have [our counselors] supporting them. Together, they bring an exceptional blend of experience, talent, dedication, and energy that truly sets them apart.

Their commitment to discovering new and innovative ways to help students excel—both academically and personally—is unmatched. They are, without question, our counseling ‘Dream Team.’” ⭐

One of our favorite days of the year at Sierra High! We are proud to host this amazing event with our SJCOE partners!

The medal earning moment of 2025 was the 8th Annual All-Star Olympics 💙✨, a beloved high school tradition that students, teachers, and community leaders look forward to every year.

Hosted every April at Sierra High School, students from across Manteca Unified and San Joaquin County came together for a day full of inclusion, teamwork, and fun 🤝. From running, jumping, and throwing events to fan-favorite activities like co****le, gaga ball, Connect 4, and face painting 🎨, every moment was filled with excitement.

With medals 🥇 proudly worn, the All-Star Olympics celebrate every student as a champion, while emphasizing community and encouragement, making this event one we look forward to each year.

See you next year, All-Stars! 🌟
