Here's a video from today's matches. The first part of the video, our robot is running on an autonomous mode which requires programming the robot to move on its own in a pattern without anyone touching controls. You'll hear a buzzer sound and that is when the contest enters the player controlled robot stage.

And NO, this is not BattleBots 😁 The contact by one of the opposing team's robots during the autonomous period was not intentional.

Well another season is in the books for Team 14800, Cyberdine. This year's contest definitely tested our skills, but the MHS robotics team rose to the challenge and walked away today with the THINK Award. This is our first time ever to win this award.

The Think Award recognizes teams who masterfully document their team's process and ROBOT using their PORTFOLIO and is given to the team that best reflects the journey the team took as they experienced their season, including evidence of use of the engineering process as well as the lessons learned and implemented related to the design of their ROBOT. I am super proud of these students! They continue to improve each year.

THANK YOU to everyone who had a part in helping this season! We could not have been as successful this season as we were without the engagement and support of you all!

Congratulations to Team Cyberdyne for bringing home the Connect Award from today's FIRST Tech challenge Tupelo qualifier. The Connect Award is one of the outreach awards. This award is for teams that work with their local STEM community and corporate community.

Team Cyberdine won the Design Award at today's robotics competition in Meridian. The Design Award is presented to teams incorporating industrial design into their robot which allows us to think of robots in New ways. Super proud of this group!!

This year's robotic season has started off better for 14800, Team Cyberdine. We competed at Tupelo Middle School today and are coming home with the Motivate award. This award celebrates the team that exhibits Gracious Professionalism®, shows general enthusiasm for FIRST robotics, and makes a collective effort to promote FIRST robotics throughout their school and community. So very proud of our team.
