Spartan golf participated in the Ontario Invitational on Friday at Twin Lakes Golf Club. Senior Joy Kim struggled with a +13 (88), but was still good enough for a tie-breaker win.

On the boys' side, junior David Crundwell shot a personal best 79 (+8); senior Jay Fultz also had a PB of 88; junior Quinn Chamberlin shot a 92; and freshman Tony Kim scored 92 for a team total of 351.

SPREAD THE WORD MANSFIELD!!

Dear Spartan Family,

There is something special about basketball in our community.

For generations, our school has built a rich basketball tradition, creating memories, friendships, and moments that our community can be proud of. We have celebrated championships, supported our athletes, and carried the Spartan name with pride.

Now, after 3 years we are exploring the possibility of restoring our decorated Lady Spartans girls basketball program and bringing that spirit back to our school and community.

Before we take the next steps, we want to find out just how much interest and support there is for bringing girls basketball back. We would love to hear from former players, parents, students, alumni, community members, and anyone who believes our girls deserve the opportunity to wear the Spartan uniform and build upon the tradition that came before them.

This is about more than basketball.

It is about giving young women the opportunity to compete, grow, build friendships, develop leadership skills, represent our school, and create the next chapter of Lady Spartans history.

We are especially interested in hearing from anyone who may be willing to help with coaching, fundraising, organizing, volunteering, supporting athletes, or simply spreading the word.

Spartan Golf kicked off its 2026 campaign Monday at the Bucyrus Elks Invitational. The team finished ninth overall, improving on last year’s result. The team is in action again on Thursday at the Mapleton Invite at Ashland Brookside.

🥎⚾ Calling all young athletes!

Registration is now open for the Spartan Youth Baseball & Softball Camp at Spartan Fields, taking place August 4–6! Open to boys and girls ages 8–14, this three-day camp is a great opportunity to build skills, gain confidence, and have fun—whether your child is just learning the game or already loves baseball or softball.

All participants need to bring is a bat and glove—we'll take care of the rest!

This camp is especially meaningful because it comes after months of hard work by a dedicated St. Peter family, who generously volunteered their time this summer to restore and improve Spartan Fields. Their efforts have created a wonderful place for young athletes to learn, compete, and grow.

Congratulations to All of our Spartans today for their performances in the MBC conference championship! To Esten on a great performance at today’s conference championship, finishing 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles! Ahzirrea for finishing 3rd in the 100m, Zayah for finishing 5th in 100m Hurdles, Middle Schooler Alex for finishing 3rd in the High Jump, and Thalia for winning 1ST PLACE 🥇 for the girls conference championship high jump! Congrats to all of our athletes, and Big Thank you’s and Congratulations to Coach Woodson. Proud to see another strong showing for the Spartans. If anyone has pictures please send them to show the community our proud athletes!

The ideal candidate will have prior high school coaching experience and demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court.​ Applicants must understand and apply the core values that come with our school.
