The Phoenix Academy

The Phoenix Academy The Phoenix Academy is a MISD campus that provides a self-paced accelerated curriculum for students who meet specific criteria. Let's graduate! 🎓

The Phoenix Academy works with grade levels one through 12. Although The Academy very much operates as one unified campus, there are actually two disctinct programs housed in our building. The Phoenix Academy is an option for students to earn a high school diploma in an alternative setting. The Behavior Intervention Center (BIC) Program was established to serve the academic and behavioral needs of students who have violated the Student Code of Conduct.

Our Phoenix Academy students participated in our first Future Ready Fair.

The goal was to provide real-world experiences and career-building opportunities by engaging our amazing corporate community as a key resource.

Through partnerships like these, our students gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to evaluate their career readiness. It’s through the support of our corporate partners that we can help cultivate essential workplace capabilities and provide meaningful, real-time feedback to our future professionals.

Today, students learned valuable lessons about interview etiquette, job opportunities, and workplace expectations which will prepare them for success beyond the classroom.

Today, we pause to honor and thank all those who have served our country with courage and dedication. Your sacrifice and commitment to protecting our freedoms inspire us every day.

We’re especially proud to recognize the veterans among our own staff, Mrs. Dumond and Mrs. Boyd, our incredible teachers who once served our nation and now continue to serve our students. Your leadership, discipline, and compassion make a lasting difference in and out of the classroom.
