Final appreciation post for the incredible collaboration between florists and artists throughout our exhibition ‘Anthesis: The Precise Moment of Bloom’.

We are sad to see this gorgeous summer show come to an end, but the season is about to change, and with it comes the arrival of the crows to Mansfield.

We hope that everyone had a lovely Laufey Day! 🎀 Thank you to all of the Lauvers who visited us today and made memories 🐇

A few of our favorite moments:

🕰️ The first girl in line at 9:30am that was the absolute sweetest and read her book while she waited. You totally deserved first dibs on the Laufey merch 🫶

🧑‍🩰The tiny twirler who did a spin in her fluffy skirt when she stepped into the upstairs gallery while the music was playing 💗

💕 The girl with the pink heart glasses who gasped when she saw the art and music, and her eyes lit up at the macarons 🍪

💙 The teen guy that jumped up and down at receiving a free membership to go explore other cultural experiences all year, and the homeschool mom with the 3 beautifully named daughters that welled up with excitement as they filled out their new membership forms 🎟️

🎀 All of the bows, and smiles, and seeing you go run to the record store and the carrousel and end your day at The Ren 🎠🎞️

Thank you to all of you, and to our wonderful partners in A Very Laufey Day! Kingwood Center Gardens The 101 Tea Company The Joyful Table, Blackbird Records, Richland Carrousel Park, Renaissance Theatre, and especially to 💐Richland County Foundation for providing so many free student memberships today.

Embodied Nature: A Clay Workshop Connecting with the Earth 🌎

Thursday, August 20th // 12-2pm

-Participants should bring a blanket or outdoor seat/cushion

Join artist and eco-therapist Lisa River Schenkelberg for this experiential outdoor clay workshop in which participants will be invited to explore themes of interconnectivity,
interdependence and co-creativity. Through engaging with various clay-based sensory awareness exercises, participants will be supported in deepening their connection with
their bodies, with each other and with nature. This workshop is intended to inspire awareness of our elemental nature, our rootedness within the Earth, our shared connections, and the infinitely diverse ways that nature takes shape and finds expression within each of us. There will be space for each participant to create at least one clay form inspired by their experiences throughout the workshop.

A little jazz, a little art, and a very cool reason to celebrate Mansfield. ✨

We’re thrilled to join the Mansfield Art Center and other community partners for A Very Laufey Day on Sunday, August 23! The Art Center was selected as one of just 75 locations around the world to take part in Laufey’s annual celebration, bringing Laufey fans together for a day centered on art, music, beauty, and supporting local.

As part of the day, we’ll be opening the Renaissance Theatre for a FREE screening of A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl at 5 PM, featuring Laufey performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Huge congratulations to our friends at the Mansfield Art Center for being chosen to bring something this special to our community. We’re so excited to be part of a day that will have people exploring the arts and some of the places that make Mansfield such a great place to be. 💙
