We’re only a few days into the school year, but our youngest Spartans are already busy exploring, experimenting, and discovering in STEM! 💙🧪

🔊 Kindergarten explored the science of sound, learning how vibrations create the sounds we hear—and then putting their learning into action by making their own noisemakers!

🌡️ First grade turned up the heat with an experiment to discover how color affects heat absorption. Students placed ice cubes on blue and white paper, made predictions, observed what happened, and discovered that the ice on the blue paper melted faster because darker colors absorb more heat.

They even connected their experiment to everyday life: there’s a scientific reason light-colored clothing can help keep us cooler on a hot, sunny day! ☀️👕

This is what STEM looks like at St. Peter’s: asking questions, testing ideas, making observations, and discovering how science connects to the world around us.

From rolling rugs in Montessori to singing our Alma Mater in the high school, the first day was about settling back into the rhythms and traditions that make St. Peter’s home.

After those first-day photos were snapped, we gathered for Mass, then held meetings across campus to review expectations and talk about how we will live out our values together this year.

The first day went by quickly—but we captured plenty of moments along the way!

If you caught our first-day video, consider this the extended edition. From preschool through high school, here are a few more glimpses of our Spartans settling back into classrooms, reconnecting with friends, meeting new teachers, and starting another year together.

The first day is here—and we’re already making plans to celebrate our first week back together!

Join us this Friday after school at Spartan Field for FUN AT THE FIELDS, our first big Spartan Family celebration of the 2026–27 school year. We’re excited to invite our friends and families from St. Mary’s to join the fun as they get ready for their own first day!

After a few days of new schedules, new routines, early mornings, packed lunches, homework, and all the excitement (and exhaustion!) that comes with getting back to school, come unwind with us!

💙 We’re ready for a new year!

From Spartan Academy and orientations to Open House, we’ve loved welcoming our students and families back to campus over the past week. The halls are filling up again, classrooms are ready, and the energy of a new school year is officially here.

Tomorrow, the 2026–27 school year begins, and we can’t wait to see our Spartans back where they belong!

Here’s to a year of learning, growth, faith, friendship, and plenty of Spartan spirit.

New Faculty Spotlight: Mr. Joseph Blanton

Originally from Virginia, Mr. Blanton studied English and Theatre at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he developed his love for storytelling both onstage and behind the scenes.

Mr. Blanton believes deeply in the power of literature and the arts to help us better understand ourselves, one another, and the world around us—and ultimately to point us toward God.

This year, Mr. Blanton will teach English and our new Catholic Writing Seminar in the middle and high school, bringing together his love of literature, writing, theatre, and faith.

We are excited to welcome Mr. Blanton to the Spartan family and look forward to the creativity, thoughtfulness, and faith he will bring to our students this year! 💙

A new school year is here, and we can’t wait to have our Spartans back! Before we fill the halls again, we’re looking back at a little of the fun that made last year so special.

And today, we get to start making new memories together!

🏫 Open House is TONIGHT from 5–6 PM!
Preschool–12th Grade families are invited to visit classrooms, meet teachers, reconnect with friends, and kick off the 2026–27 school year together.

New family meetings will follow from 6–7 PM:
• Preschool Families — FAC Atrium
• New Middle & High School Families — Auditorium

We can’t wait to see our halls filled with Spartans again! 💙
