We are excited to announce that we have hired a new voice teacher here at AIM!

Let me introduce you to Lauran Kinard!

Born and raised in DFW, Lauran Kinard is an accomplished singer, actress, worship leader, and music teacher. Lauran has been entertaining crowds since she belted the entirety of “Tomorrow” from Annie for a family reunion at the age of two. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Musical Arts from Dallas Baptist University in 2018 with an emphasis in worship studies. Lauran has five years of experience teaching music and theater at Newman International Academy while also teaching private vocal lessons on the side. Lauran is heavily active in the local musical theater scene, has been involved in various collegiate and community choirs (both classical and gospel), and leads worship at her church in Fort Worth.She is also a loving wife and a mom to her two sweet babies. Lauran stands out as a performer because of her versatility in styles. She grew up singing everything from Broadway show tunes to gospel to popular radio and pop hits. She is also formally trained in classical music and opera. Lauran’s unique musical background motivates her to personalize lessons for each student based on their individual talent and goals, while also encouraging them to step outside the box in order to open their mind and grow in their experiences and abilities. No matter your age, level of experience, or background, Lauran is excited to learn how she can help you reach your musical and/or theatrical goals.
