Wow….. it’s been almost a year since our 50th Class Reunion. We’ve lost 3 of our classmates since then. Time doesn’t stand still. We will be meeting once again at the Liederkranz on Tuesday September 8, at noon for lunch.

Rosa Jane Schwartz, age 69, of Mansfield, OH, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at her home with her loved ones. She was born March 12, 1957, in Mansfield, OH to Reverand Daniel E. and Frances B. (Dotson) Bates.

Jane retired from Richland Newhope in 2007 after 22 years of dedicated service. She loved her family dearly and absolutely adored her grandbabies, who brought her so much joy. She played the piano at Country Chapel Freewill Baptist Church

No calling hours at time. A celebration of life will be planned in the future.

Jane graduated in 1975 and started the monthly luncheon that we still enjoy today. She was a member of the 50th Class Reunion Committee and very instrumental in researching the obituaries for the Committee. She will be dearly missed.

*UPDATE
For those that believe in the power of prayer, please lift Rosa Jane Bates Schwartz up in prayer. She is very ill and needs your prayers. Jane started the monthly luncheon for our class and was very helpful during the planning of our 50th class reunion.

Also Patty Ormesher Merrill’s Father passed away. So please keep her and her family in prayer. Patty is the administrator of our page and does a tremendous job. She created the memorial video for our class reunion, of those that have passed.

*Update: I just learned that Lynn Secrist Elton’s Mother passed away on August 12,2026. Please keep Lynn and her family in your prayers.
