Sophia has completed ANOTHER Method book and she earned the Grand prize in our Practice Palooza! She is just Amazing! Way to go Sophia!

This is a great article packed with ideas on effective practicing. It is geared toward pianist but most if not all of the practice technics can be used by violinist as we'll. I will definitely be using many of the ideas myself as well as incorporating them into lessons in my studio.

December 21st, Christmas Party/ Recital at 7 pm.

This week begins our first Practice Palooza!!!! Each week (for 8 weeks) students will compete with the other students in the studio on different practice goals. Weekly rewards will be given to the "Top Practicers" as well as several Grand Champion awards given at the end of the competition. This will be a friendly competition to spark the excitement of practicing. The rewards (skills, confidence, knowledge, talent.....etc.) will be immeasurable!!!!

If you are looking for private lessons for piano or violin, I have just a few spots still available. I have more than 12 years teaching experience and it is something that absolutely love doing! I teach beginner to advanced students and I have taught students as young as 4 and as mature as 74 (not that there is an age maximum, I enjoy working with adults too).

I am always looking for innovated ways of teaching, in lessons we work on reading music, theory, musicianship and most important cultivating a love of music. This combination, I have found is a wonderful combination to create a lifelong desire for music.

This amazing young woman has accomplished so much is such a short period of time. Logenn started piano lessons the last week of April in preparation for her music degree at BYU. She is now leaving for her college experience fully prepared and quite the pianist. I will miss you Logenn Wurtz, but I am equally excited for you, you have proven that you can do big things!
