What do I do with my Fridays “off” in the summer?
I use my 9 Fridays ”off” to catch up on my 30 hours of continuing education. I also start paperwork on licensing renewals and background checks.

Keeping the summer big guys busy with craft kits from Michael’s Crafts!

It is assessment season. We “planted” a flower and vegetable garden while I assessed vocabulary, one to one correspondence, rote counting, phonics, beginning sight words, letter recognition, color identification, color recognition, color matching, positional words, numeral identification, numeral recognition and data collection using graphs.

This book is a must read for me every spring and this art project often follows. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers enjoy stamp painting with bottles and it gives us a chance to practice naming the parts of the flowers, identifying colors, one to one correspondence, controlling pressure while using markers, and using verbs with developing infant language.

Our butterflies emerged from their cocoons this weekend and we were able to release today.
