So cool!! These are the kinds of exciting discoveries student groups get to celebrate and experience on our TEXcursions. We’re looking forward to bringing our first group of the season down to the Waco Mammoth National Monument in a couple of weeks on their Ice Age: Texas trip 🦣✨🧭

New Discovery Alert!

During a current geologic study of the original excavation our paleontologist and a Baylor University / Baylor Geosciences graduate student uncovered a new mammoth tooth and several tusk and bone fragments.

This exciting find indicates there are more fossils to discover in addition to preserving and researching the existing 34 mammoths. You can see these incredible specimens inside the Dig Shelter. Visit Waco Mammoth National Monument to learn more about the current research and new discoveries!

Join Echo Education and participating schools at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Mansfield on August 26th for a community-wide fundraiser supporting Mansfield ISD schools who are traveling with us this year.

Mention Echo Education when ordering! All proceeds will be split amongst Mansfield ISD campuses who are traveling with Echo Education in the 2026/2027 school year!

Here's the best part...
