🌟 RATTLER FAMILY UPDATE: THANK YOU FOR A GREAT START! 🌟
Dear Rattler Families,
We are so grateful for your partnership as we begin the school year! We have had a great first two weeks at Manor Rise Academy, and we appreciate everything you are doing at home to help our students have a successful school day. ❤️💙
As we continue building strong routines together, we wanted to share a few important reminders and updates.
📋 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Your voice matters! Please take a few minutes to complete our Family Survey and share your feedback with us. Your input helps us understand what is working well and where we can continue to grow as a school community.
👕 DRESS CODE
Please help us make sure students arrive at school in dress code each day. Consistent dress code expectations help us create a focused and positive learning environment for all students.
🍎 ARRIVAL & BREAKFAST
Our doors open at 6:45 AM, and we encourage students to take advantage of our free breakfast and lunch program.
Students should be in their classroom, seated, and ready to learn by 7:15 AM.
After 7:15 AM, parents/guardians will need to bring students through the front office for arrival. Thank you for helping us make sure students begin their day on time and ready to learn!
🎒 CLEAR/MESH BACKPACKS — GRADES 6–8
Students in grades 6–8 will need to use a clear or mesh backpack.
We understand that this is a transition for some families, and we want to support you. If you need assistance purchasing a clear or mesh backpack, please reach out to our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Benitez.
📵 CELL PHONE REMINDER
If your student brings a cell phone or other personal communication device to campus, please remind them that it must be turned off and stored in their backpack for the entire school day.
Under Texas House Bill 1481, public and charter schools are required to prohibit students from using personal communication devices on school property during the school day. This includes instructional time, lunch, and passing periods.
💧 WATER BOTTLES
Students may bring a water bottle into the building. Other drinks will not be permitted into the school building.
📱 MIDDLE SCHOOL IPADS will be sent home
We have started distributing student iPads to all students!
Elementary school students will keep their iPads at school.
Middle school students will be able to take their iPads home each day. Students are responsible for bringing their iPad back to school fully charged each morning so they are ready to participate in learning.
Please help us reinforce that the iPad is an important part of their school supplies and learning experience.

We are excited to announce that Mrs. Benitez, our Parent Liaison, is starting our Manor Rise Family Newsletter!
The newsletter will be sent out at the end of each month and will be another way for us to keep families informed and connected.

🍧 POPSICLES WITH THE PRINCIPALS
We are currently working to finalize a date for our first Popsicles with the Principals event!
This will be an opportunity for families to sit down with us, ask questions, share ideas, and build relationships. We look forward to spending time with you and hearing directly from our families.

📋 ¡QUEREMOS ESCUCHAR DE USTEDES!
¡Su voz es importante! Por favor, tómense unos minutos para completar nuestra Encuesta para las Familias y compartir sus comentarios con nosotros. Sus opiniones nos ayudan a entender qué está funcionando bien y en qué áreas podemos seguir creciendo como comunidad escolar.
👕 CÓDIGO DE VESTIMENTA
Por favor, ayúdenos a asegurarnos de que los estudiantes lleguen a la escuela cumpliendo con el código de vestimenta todos los días. Mantener expectativas consistentes sobre la vestimenta nos ayuda a crear un ambiente de aprendizaje positivo y enfocado para todos los estudiantes.
🍎 LLEGADA Y DESAYUNO
Nuestras puertas abren a las 6:45 a. m., y animamos a todos los estudiantes a aprovechar nuestro programa gratuito de desayuno y almuerzo.
Los estudiantes deben estar en su salón de clases, sentados y listos para aprender a más tardar a las 7:15 a. m.

🎒 MOCHILAS TRANSPARENTES O DE MALLA — GRADOS 6–8
Los estudiantes de los grados 6–8 deberán utilizar una mochila transparente o de malla.
Entendemos que este es un período de transición para algunas familias y queremos apoyarlos. Si necesitan ayuda para comprar una mochila transparente o de malla, comuníquense con nuestra Enlace de Padres, la Sra. Benítez.
📵 RECORDATORIO SOBRE LOS TELÉFONOS CELULARES
Si su estudiante trae un teléfono celular u otro dispositivo personal de comunicación a la escuela, por favor recuérdenle que debe estar apagado y guardado en su mochila durante todo el día escolar.
De acuerdo con la Ley 1481 de la Cámara de Representantes de Texas (Texas House Bill 1481), las escuelas públicas y chárter deben prohibir que los estudiantes utilicen dispositivos personales de comunicación en las instalaciones escolares durante el día escolar. Esto incluye el tiempo de instrucción, el almuerzo y los períodos de transición entre clases.
💧 BOTELLAS DE AGUA

🍧 PALOMITAS HELADAS CON LOS DIRECTORES
Actualmente estamos trabajando para finalizar una fecha para nuestro primer evento “Popsicles with the Principals” (Palomitas Heladas con los Directores).
Esta será una oportunidad para que las familias se sienten con nosotros, hagan preguntas, compartan ideas y establezcan relaciones. ¡Esperamos pasar tiempo con ustedes y escuchar directamente a nuestras familias!
💙 SOMOS SOCIOS
Mientras nos adaptamos al nuevo año escolar, queremos agradecer a nuestras familias por su paciencia, comprensión y colaboración. Como nuevo equipo administrativo, estamos aprendiendo, escuchando y trabajando cada día para fortalecer Manor Rise para nuestros estudiantes y familias.
