🌟 August Character Trait: RESPONSIBILITY 🌟

We’re kicking off the school year by putting Responsibility into action! 💙💛

Each month, our students take time to reflect on a character trait and think about what it looks like in their everyday lives. For August, our focus is Responsibility, making good choices, following through on commitments, taking ownership of our actions, and doing our part. 🙌

Our students put their thoughts into action by creating Post-It notes sharing what responsibility means to them. 📝✨ It’s a simple activity, but it’s a great reminder that small choices can make a big difference!

A little creativity can make a big impact! 🎨💻

One of our talented students in Mrs. Croskey’s Digital Workplace Applications class recently put her creativity to work by creating the decorative pieces that helped bring one of our building displays to life.

A Little Learning, A Little Fun at F.E. DuBose Career Center! 💙💛

It was quite the coincidence! Dr. Krystal Barclay, Chiropractor and a friend of FEDCC, was traveling to work on short notice and was asked to stop by to peek her head in and say hello before jumping into her scrubs! 🩺👩‍⚕️

While she was here, she took a few moments to speak with our students about her journey, internships, professionalism, and career opportunities. Our students were excited to hear her story and learn more about what it takes to become a doctor!

We also had a little fun while reinforcing an important reminder: the dress code! 👕👀

Since the beginning of the school year, our director, Ms. Johnson, and teachers have been talking with students about dress code expectations. During orientation, our teachers and Ms. Johnson, demonstrated some of the outfits that have been seen since the beginning of the school year, outfits that would result in a dress code violation if worn to school. 👀

Two great lessons, one great day: learn from those who inspire you and know the dress code! 📚✨

🧫 From Cells to Snacks: Learning Has Never Tasted So Good!

Health Science I students in Mrs. Spann’s class are diving into the building blocks of the human body! Today, students learned all about cells by creating their own edible cell models. This hands-on activity gave students a fun and interactive way to explore human anatomy while bringing science to life, one bite at a time!
