Zion Lutheran Preschool of Manning is seeking volunteers to spend time with our afternoon class, 12:30-3:30, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday!

This is a perfect opportunity for a retiree, stay at home parent or just someone who loves kids! Our volunteers just offer an extra set of hands in the classroom and build relationships with students.

Volunteers must complete some requirements before being in the classroom. Please message us here or contact us via email at [email protected] if this opportunity interests you.

🏠 WANTED 🏠
Zion Lutheran Preschool would LOVE to add one or two of this type of playhouse to our outdoor area. Does anyone local(ish) have one they are wanting to get rid of? It would need to be in decent shape free from broken plastic.
Reach out to Melanie Enenbach if you have something that might work!

THANK YOU!! ❤️ A big thank you to everyone who purchased something off our Amazon Wish List!
We have so many awesome new items to use in the classroom this year, I’m so excited!! 😁
I would love to send everyone individual thank-you notes, but most of these came with no name of who they were from. So a public thanks will have to do!

Classroom Update: This summer we discovered that the flooring in the preschool classroom needed to be removed and replaced. Last week the old flooring was removed and new flooring has been ordered and is on its way! The new flooring is scheduled to be installed starting August 31st, and classes start September 8th.
Typically fundraising for a larger project like this would start well before the project started; however, because it was unexpected and we had limited time before school started, we had to get the project going immediately in order to start school on time. Our goal is to cover a portion of the costs through donations.
On August 22nd, Zion Preschool is hosting the Bake Sale at Manning's Farmer's Market. Donations received there will be going toward the flooring project. If you would like to make a donation to help us cover costs associated with this project, it would be greatly appreciated! Donations can be dropped of at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning- please note "Preschool Flooring" with your donation.
If you have questions or for more information feel free to reach out to me- Melanie Enenbach, Preschool Director, or to one of the preschool board members. Thank you.

🍎🍏 Meet the Teachers 🍏🍎
We are looking forward to another fantastic year of preschool and wanted to introduce our teachers to you!
Miss Melanie has been our Assistant Teacher for the past 4 years. This year she has taken on a new role as Director and Lead Teacher. She lives just outside Manning with her husband and 3 kids.
Miss Gwen is our new Assistant Teacher. While she is new to Zion Preschool, she is not new to working with children. She has experience working with kids in a variety of settings including as a school para, and through teaching Sunday school classes at her church.
Miss Melanie and Miss Gwen both took part in the LCMS Early Childhood Conference in Des Moines this past week and are looking forward to applying what they learned to the classroom.

Our preschoolers LOVE to do crafts! Stickers, glue, pompoms, stickers, buttons, construction paper, stickers, markers, crayons, did i say stickers?? (🙃 Stickers are our favorite!) but they all help little hands develop their fine motor skills getting them ready for writing, scissor work, buttoning and zipping clothes, tying shoes, and more!
If you want to donate craft supplies to the preschool we would be so thankful! Here is our Craft Supplies Amazon Wish List- but we aren’t picky! We welcome all kinds of arts and crafts supplies from all sorts of places. ☺️
