Ms. Jacobs and Mrs. Shimmin are attending the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers (IAVAT) Conference in Peoria this week!

During the conference, they had the opportunity to present a workshop for first- through fifth-year agriculture teachers titled “From Chaos to Consistency.” The session focused on building sustainable systems within agricultural education and FFA programs, highlighting organizational tools, planning strategies, and chapter management practices that have helped support the success of Bureau Valley FFA.

Last week, our American Degree recipients were recognized at the Illinois FFA State Convention!

Congratulations to Ayden Andrade, Ella Thacker, and Toby Behrends on earning the American FFA Degree—the highest degree awarded by the National FFA Organization. This prestigious honor reflects years of dedication, leadership, and success in their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs.

We are incredibly proud of these members and look forward to watching them cross the stage once again at the National FFA Convention this October!

Last Friday, we celebrated our 🌟🌟🌟 Chapter Members with our first-ever 3 Star Float Trip and trip to the Root Beer Stand!

To earn this recognition, members had to actively participate in all three pillars of our chapter: community service, chapter-level proficiency, and a Career or Leadership Development Event (CDE/LDE).

Another year of 8th grade students have successfully finished their Ag classes! This has been such a fun group of kids and we can't wait for them to join our High School chapter next year!

We are selling our restored tractors to make room and raise funds for future restoration projects! On May 30th, 6 of the restored tractors and our gooseneck trailer will be auctioned off by Rediger Auction Service.

We are so thankful for all the people who have donated tractors, materials, money, time, and knowledge into our tractor restoration program over all the years. Now is your chance to buy one of these tractors to continue giving future BV FFA students the opportunity to be a part of this program!
