Three MSU nursing students stopped by KEYC's Kato Living to talk about their upcoming Run for Resilience 5K Run and Walk community event that they are putting on through the Student Nurses Association. Lauren Olson (SNA president), along with volunteer coordinators Meghan Erdahl and Mirra Frohling, explained that the run/walk is happening September 19th at 10 AM out at the MSU Fitness Trail, and every dollar raised is going to the Pinky Swear Foundation, a nonprofit that helps families of kids with cancer by covering things like transportation, housing, and groceries, so parents can actually be at the hospital with their kid instead of worrying about work, bills and other stressors.

The group highlighted they just want people to come out, have fun, and be part of something bigger than themselves, whether they're walking, running, or just showing up to support. The top five fundraisers will get prizes from local sponsors like Planet Fitness, JP Fitness, Fit for Ten, and Sugar Sweet.
