Why is joining an in-person networking group so important?
Over the next several days, we’re going to hear directly from our members about what they have gained by showing up, building relationships, and connecting face-to-face. Each day, we’ll feature a different member and share their personal experience.
I’ll start with my story…

Because of this networking group, I have gained confidence, not only in speaking about my business, but also in myself.
I have always been very much an introvert. Walking into a room, starting conversations, and speaking in front of others did not come naturally to me. Honestly, sometimes it still doesn’t.
But that is exactly why meeting in person has been so valuable.
Showing up pushed me beyond the comfort of hiding behind a screen. It gave me the opportunity to practice sharing my story, talk about the business I have worked so hard to build, and form genuine relationships through real, face-to-face conversations.
Online networking can help us exchange information, but being together in the same room allows us to share a laugh, read one another’s expressions, offer encouragement, and build trust in a completely different way.
In-person networking didn’t change the fact that I’m an introvert. It taught me that I can be an introvert and still confidently take up space, share my voice, and connect with the people around me.
