Our Philosophy of Education

A Christ-centered education is based on the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalm 111:10)

This wisdom includes the knowledge that, as a consequence of sin, man's perfect relationship with God has been severed. (Romans 5:12, 6:23, 3:23)

Through the atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross, God has restored this perfect relationship with man. (John

3:16)

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, man will live a life according to God's holy will. (2 Corinthians 5:15)

God has given parents the primary responsibility to bring up their children in the fear of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)

To assist parents in training their children in these truths, Risen Savior Lutheran School has been established. (John 21:15-17)

At Risen Savior Lutheran School, all subjects are taught in the light of God's Holy Word.

Our Meet the Teacher & Staff series continues with Joanna Bindert, one of those familiar faces who can be found just about anywhere at Risen Savior!

Joanna serves primarily as our upper grades classroom aide, but her helping hands reach throughout the entire school. Whether she’s supporting students and teachers in the classroom, lending a hand where needed, or even stepping into the kitchen and serving lunch, Joanna is always willing to help keep things running smoothly!

Today, our students in grades 3–8 headed to Sibley Park for some fun team-building activities. Students worked together, encouraged one another, solved challenges, and enjoyed spending time with classmates outside the classroom.
We’re thankful for a great first week and excited to see our students continue to grow together throughout the school year! ❤️

Today we celebrated Risen Savior Sunday surrounded by students, families, faculty, friends, and members of our supporting congregations.
A special part of the service was the installation of Mrs. Samantha Palm as our new 3rd & 4th grade teacher. We are thankful to have her joining our ministry and pray for God’s blessings on her work with our students! 🍎
What a wonderful way to begin a new school year! 🙏📚

Our final before school starts next week takes us back to the last day of school this past spring! Here’s one last look at our whole school together before we turn the page and begin a brand-new school year.

This picture also includes some faces we’ll definitely be missing this year. We hope they’re ready for their next adventure, and we’ll be cheering them on from here. ❤️

What a great way to kick off the new school year! 🍔🌭

Last night, our faculty, staff, and Board of Directors gathered at Spring Lake Park for a cookout filled with good food, great conversation, and plenty of laughter. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, enjoy time together, and start the school year on a positive note.

A special thank you to Kenny Larson for manning the grill and helping make the evening a delicious success! 🔥🍔
