We’re proud to see the Center for Rural Behavioral Health represented on a national stage! This week, several members of our clinical Center for Rural Behavioral Health team attended the National Association of Rural Mental Health (NARMH) Conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Our Center Director, Dr. Darcie Davis-Gage, Associate Director, Dr. Tracie Self, and Rural Behavioral Health Clinic Manager, Dr. Becca Kall, each shared their expertise through presentations at the conference. Their participation reflects our Center’s commitment to advancing rural-informed behavioral health practice, education, clinical services, and workforce development—and to sharing what we are learning from our work with communities, students, and clinicians.

We are proud of the work they are doing to elevate rural behavioral health and grateful for the opportunity to connect with others across the country who are committed to strengthening mental health services in rural communities.

Our Center Director, Darcie Davis-Gage, is teaming up with Samantha Hoyt from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Justice Programs to offer a specialized Clinical Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) training.

This important su***de prevention training will also include an overview of Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) and is designed for mental health clinicians, primary care providers, substance use disorder counselors, mental health hotline responders, and crisis intervention professionals.
