💙 "Don't just take it from us..."

One grandparent recently shared the incredible progress their granddaughter has made through tutoring at Good Counsel Learning Center.

When she began second grade, she was reading just 24 words per minute with 61% accuracy and had little confidence in her abilities. After a year of personalized tutoring, she's now reading 65 words per minute with no errors and is on track to enter third grade with the skills she needs to succeed.

📈2025–2026 Learning Outcomes📊

During the 2025–2026 academic year, we provided over 2,000 hours of individualized instruction designed to meet each learner's unique academic goals. Students and adult learners demonstrated meaningful growth across literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, language acquisition, and social-emotional learning.

While not every goal was fully achieved during the year, nearly every student demonstrated measurable progress, reflecting the value of consistent, one-on-one instruction tailored to each learner. The results affirm that personalized tutoring can accelerate academic growth, strengthen confidence, and create lasting opportunities for children and adults throughout our community.

While every student's journey is unique, these results demonstrate what's possible through personalized instruction, consistent encouragement, and strong relationships.

As we wrap up another year of learning, we want to thank our students, families, tutors, volunteers, staff, donors, and community partners for making this year so meaningful.

Together, we celebrated academic growth, built lasting relationships, overcame challenges, and created a welcoming community where learners of all ages could thrive. Every lesson, every milestone, and every act of encouragement helped make this year a success.
