Manitowoc County Master Gardeners

Manitowoc County Master Gardeners We have 44 members wtih 37 recertified for 2012.

Our purpose is to improve the quality of life in Manitowoc County by serving as an educational resource dedicated to assisting people in making informed decisions through the facilitation of research-based knowledge. In 2011, the Manitowoc County Master Gardeners volunteered 8 hours in youth education; 493 hours in community education; 3,482 hours in support service and participated in 1,212 hours in continuing education.

Have you ever thought about becoming a Master Gardener? The first step is taking the Foundations in Gardening course offered through the University of Wisconsin Horticulture Division on Extension.

The next course is now open for registration. Registration ends August 24th, 2026 and the course runs from Sept. 6 through Dec. 12, 2026. Course is self-study and highly flexible. Click this link for the more information.

🌿 **Thank You for Making Our Garden Walk a Success!** 🌿

A heartfelt **thank you** to everyone who joined us yesterday for the **Manitowoc County Master Gardeners Garden Walk**!

Whether you came to explore the beautiful gardens, visit our educational stations, chat with our Master Gardener volunteers, or simply enjoy a wonderful summer day, we truly appreciate you spending part of your day with us.

Events like this are only possible because of the generosity of our garden hosts, the dedication of our volunteers, and the support of our community. We hope you left inspired with new gardening ideas, helpful tips, and a greater appreciation for the beauty that gardens bring to our lives.

Thank you for supporting the Manitowoc County Master Gardeners. We look forward to seeing you again at future events!

Adults and children over 10 welcome (no pets please)
Tickets are $10, on sale at any of the gardens. Tickets include a map of the garden locations. You can tour the gardens in any sequence you want!
