The Manitowoc Lincoln High School marching band kicked off the start of the 2026-2027 school year for the teachers and staff of the Manitowoc Public School District!

Manitowoc Public School District Summer Band and Orchestra turned 25 this year! During this immersive two-week class, over 100 students in grades 6-12 rehearsed as a full band or orchestra and in sectionals for instrument-specific learning to prepare for a concert at Washington Park. Along the way, there was outside fun, Terrible Joke Tuesday, and the always zany Wacky Wednesday competition!

Thank you to the students, our incredible high school helpers, and our amazing instructional staff for another memorable summer music experience for our students!

💖 Why I am a musician: "Because I love singing and choir has made me love it even more. I love being able to sing with my friends and have a great time."

🎵 Someone who has supported you on your musical journey: "My whole family has. They've driven me to and from different singing locations for Lincoln singers or Solo & Ensemble and they've come to concerts and performances.”

Congratulations to Wilson Middle School's Brynn Hampton-Gregory! Brynn auditioned and has been selected from hundreds of applicants all across Wisconsin as a member of the 2026 Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) Middle Level State Honors Band! This All-State ensemble of young musicians will be performing as part of the Wisconsin State Music Conference in Madison this October.
