We’ve recently wrapped an incredible week at Hollyhock with 25 participants, and we’re still holding onto everything that unfolded there.
A few themes kept surfacing throughout the week.
➡️ Less is more
So many of us come to this work believing we have to push harder and force our way toward feeling better, but that isn’t how the nervous system changes. The participants discovered that the smallest, slowest movements often created the biggest shifts.
➡️ Learn to trust yourself
This work asks you to pay attention to your own sensations rather than looking outside for the answer. Over the week, participants moved from second-guessing what they felt to genuinely trusting what their bodies were telling them.
➡️ Trust the process
Change through Clinical Somatic Education doesn’t always happen on the timeline we expect. Learning to stay with it, without rushing or forcing an outcome, was a lesson that reached far beyond the movement itself.
So many people arrive at this work having tried everything to feel better in their bodies, and having slowly lost hope that anything ever would. Watching people rediscover that hope over the week, watching them realise that change really is possible, is exactly why we do this.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
