TONIGHT!!!!
The Manitou Springs High School’s Student Council is currently hosting our STAMPEDE WEEK (charity week) with the purpose of raising funds to support a local organization called Family Life Services. In previous years we have partnered up with biggest organizations like Make-A-Wish foundation, but this year we wanted to have the opportunity to help out people closer to our community. Family Life Services is an organization that has been helping single moms build new futures since 1942 by leaving behind homelessness and domestic violence.
We started the week with a hyped up Nacho Volleyball game within the student body, where the Junior Class ended up being the winner of the night. However, we have other great events happening during this week, like Movie Night & S'mores on Wednesday night, and you can see the schedule of all the events attached below. The reason why we're doing these events is in order to fundraise enough money to donate to the organization that we chose for this year. Having said that, we would like to formally invite you to come to our biggest event this week, Tailgate & Staff vs. Staff Basketball Game against Woodland Park, which will take place on Friday, March 13th.
The Tailgate will start at 4:30pm, with 2 bands performing, yard games and food trucks available. The bands that are performing are our very own student's band "Can I Call You Later", and Mr. Murphy's band "Moon Veils". The basketball game will start at 6:30pm, and the theme is Blackout. The entrance fee for the game will be ($5), if you're not in the theme, and ($2) if you come dressed up in the theme. Below you'll find informational flyers and pictures about the events happening this week, plus the QR code that you can use to donate.
Let us STAMPEDE for a good cause, we can't wait to see you there!!! — at Manitou Springs High School.
