Thursday was our final day of Summer Reading Camp. 😎 And what a day it was! Miss Kim was our first guest reader of the day and she read one of our favorite books, Dragons Love Tacos!🌮 Miss Jean our final guest reader of the week shared some of her favorite stories that she used to read to her kids and grandkids. 💖 Thank you so much, Kim and Jean! After lunch we divided up into two groups. One group went to the Alpine Chocolat Haus🍦to cool off with some ice cream and the other group went to Hoot and Honey Bookstore to purchase books to take home. Then the groups switched local businesses. What a fun day it was to end our Reading Camp. 📕 We even got to watch the construction crew work on Maple Street. Thank you to everyone that helped make this year’s event happen. ❤️

Each pickup includes a 7-day meal pack of breakfast and lunch, and a gallon of milk for the respective 14 meals. All summer you can pick up the meals at MHHS - no calling ahead! Let's eat!

Ms. Antal read to children at Discovery Cove! 📖 💙💛

Wednesday was a fantastic day for learning in the classroom and visiting the Coast Guard Station here in Manistee. Students practiced reading skills, some had reading buddies, and Mrs. Bradford also finished her chapter book this week. We learned from Junie B. Jones what to do if you find something that isn’t yours. The afternoon was spent with some great guys from the Coast Guard. They told us all about how they can keep us safe in the water if we are ever in trouble with our boats.
