The Craft Championships is more than a competition. It's a celebration of the apprentices who will soon lead the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

On September 25th, ABC Keystone apprentices in HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, and Plumbing spent the day competing alongside their peers and challenging themselves, putting their knowledge, skills, and confidence in the trades to the test.

It was also a proud day for the employers behind these apprentices. Every project reflected their investment, their commitment to safe and supportive workplaces, and the merit shop values they stand for.

The winners of our Local Craft Championships have been announced! These men and women will represent ABC Keystone at the ABC National Craft Championships in March 2027, competing against the best in the country.

Follow along with ABC Keystone as they prepare for the national stage.

Safety on the jobsite starts with the whole person.

ABC Keystone is hosting a Total Human Health Symposium on October 22 at ABC Keystone's Manheim Office, built around ABC Keystone's Total Human Health initiative and its four pillars: Financial, Mental, Physical and Social Health.
When all four are strong, the people doing the work are too. That shows up in safer jobsites, better quality work, and teams that look out for each other.

Join us to hear Richard Maggio, Mental Health America of Lancaster County and Lebanon County, and learn practical ideas to build a healthy working environment physically, and mentally for your team and your jobsites.

Registration details in the comments.

What a first day at Construction Wars! Today's group of middle schoolers showed up with so much excitement and curiosity.

One of the best parts? Watching the work our tradespeople do every day, the stuff that feels routine to them, light these kids up.

That early exposure matters. Many of our apprentices first discovered the trades at Construction Wars or Construction Girls Camp and came back years later to join our apprenticeship program. That's what workforce development look like.

Two more days to go, and we can't wait to see what the next groups of students discover.

Keystone Nation Remembers Cliff Wilson

On Wednesday, September 30, past ABC Keystone Chair Cliff Wilson passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Cliff became intimately involved at Keystone in 2008, spending his efforts helping to grow and improve the apprenticeship program. He was instrumental in helping the chapter move toward daytime classes that would eventually lead to full-time instructors. As Chair of the board in 2012, he helped champion the approval to construct a 21,000-square-foot addition that would become the cornerstone of the existing Keystone training facility.
Cliff was not just passionate about getting young people into the industry. He was all about growing the chapter and meeting its demands both educationally and politically. He loved working to advance all things for ABC and for the Keystone Chapter. During his term as Chair, he used the phrase "We Are Keystone Nation."
Cliff's name is inscribed on the National ABC Hall of Fame Beam Club wall. This honor is reserved for those from around the country who have sponsored at least 50 new members into ABC. This is a further testament to how Cliff didn't just talk the talk but truly walked the walk.

Please keep Cliff's family and his fellow Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. team in your thoughts and prayers. It was our privilege to work alongside him, and every apprentice who trains in our facility carries a piece of his work forward. Thank you for your service, Cliff. May you rest in peace.
