What happens when you squish it? Pour it? Mix it? Stretch it? What happens if you add just a little more? đ§Șâš
In Mad Scientist, children explored substances like oobleck, gak, and slime through hands-on experimentation. They filled, dumped, scooped, mixed colors, compared textures, and discovered how different materials behave.
It may look like children simply getting their hands into something wonderfully gooey, but thereâs a whole lot of learning happening. Theyâre making predictions, noticing cause and effect, comparing properties, experimenting with volume and measurement, strengthening fine-motor skills, and changing their ideas based on what they observe.
And perhaps most importantly, there isnât an adult giving them every answer. We provide interesting materials, tools, and opportunities, then give children the time and space to wonder, test, discover, and try again.
Thatâs where little scientists begin.
