Math Circle Seminar is an enrichment program in math for students grades 2-12 organized by faculty memebres of Math department at Kansas Satate University (Manhattan, KS).
Dear friends of the Math Circle!
In March we will host one of the most popular national math competitions for students in grades 1-12. It is organized by Math Kangaroo USA, a national non-profit organization.
The competition consists of a singular round that is taken on the same date (third Thursday of March) by thousands of students all over the US. Kansas State University is registered as a public center meaning that every student residing in Kansas may register to participate in the competition at K-state.
If you are not familiar with Math Kangaroo competition, here are some of the problems that were on the exam in the past:

click "Register at school" and follow the instructions. The regular registration fee is $21 between Sep 15 and Dec 15. A late registration fee is $35 between Dec 16 and Dec 31. There is no registration cancelation, or a refund offered after the registration. Math Kangaroo offers financial assistance to families in hardship; please contact [email protected] to ask for assistance and provide appropriate proof of hardship.
Math Kangaroo Office will send us a T-shirt and a small gift for each registered student. We will distribute the items to students on the competition day.
The registration for the Math Circle seminar at KSU for the 2022-2023 academic year is now open! The seminar will be in person at KSU in Manhattan, Kansas. Students of grades 1 through 6 are invited to register. See the webpage for further information:

The traditional Manhattan Mathematical Olympiad will take place on April 10, 9am - 12 pm, as a part of the K-state open house. This year the Olympiad is online. The problems and the submission instructions will be posted on Saturday, April 10, at 9am. The Olympiad is for grades 5-12.

Department of Mathematics jointly with UFM announce a session of online summer math workshops for school students of grades 2-8. The cost of participation in one session of four classes is $30. Enrollment deadline 06/05. The classes will be taught online through Zoom. Registration and payment should be done through the UFM.
