πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Ms. Sarah Ramirez-Mathews on receiving the 2026 Koch Service and Leadership Award!

This award recognizes faculty members who exemplify leadership, community service, and operational excellence.

As our MAcc director and Beta Alpha Psi faculty advisor, Ms. Ramirez-Mathews is a dedicated advocate for student success and is always willing to step in where help is needed. She has also played a key leadership role in organizing our international study abroad programs and strengthening the planning process for future trips.

This recognition means a great deal to me and truly reflects the support and guidance within the Herbel Family School of Accountancy. At this year’s Scholarships and Awards Gala, we proudly recognized 251 scholarship recipients and awarded more than $600,000 in scholarships thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, alumni, and friends.

We were also honored to recognize Mr. Charlie Cole as our newest Hall of Fame inductee, whose outstanding career and lifelong commitment to the accounting profession continue to inspire our students and alumni.

πŸŽ“πŸ“Šβœ¨Over 125 high school students joined us on campus to learn more about the accounting profession, connect with faculty and students, and experience what it means to β€œspeak the language of business.”

From a scavenger hunt through the building to networking opportunities, it was a fantastic day showcasing the impact and possibilities within accounting.

πŸ‘ Congratulations to Jacob Mason of the K-State Herbel Family School of Accountancy on his selection into the highly competitive Postgraduate Technical Assistant (PTA) Program with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Jacob is the first K-Stater to earn this prestigious national opportunity.

β€œI’m honored to be representing Kansas State University at the FASB,” Jacob said, β€œand hope that by being a participant, it will demonstrate to the students who come after me that Kansas State belongs at any table.”

This milestone reflects the strength of the Herbel Family School of Accountancy and its commitment to preparing students for leadership in the profession.

We are excited to welcome a new team member, Natalie Weber! Natalie graduated from the U of South Carolina and has worked in Toledo, OH, and Columbia, SC, before moving to Manhattan, KS. We are delighted to have Natalie on the team and we look forward to her working with our students, faculty, alumni, donors, and friends!
