Did you know that in 2025 alone, we rescued 25 horses and took in 20 small livestock animals? That’s a lot of animals who needed our love!

But with the help of our generous sponsors, we were able to make all these rescues a reality. We were able to provide fresh food and water to severely emaciated horses, a soft bed of hay for healing livestock to lie on, and a place where children and adults alike could come to heal alongside the animals. And we couldn’t have done it without you. 💜

When the phone rings in the dead of night because a horse needs us, we always want to be able to answer that call. And your support makes that possible.

That’s why, this Fall Fest, we are asking our community to sponsor our long-term and permanent residents. For just $19/month, you can help us care for these friends, giving us the wiggle room to say YES to new animals needing help. And in return, we invite you to an afternoon of unlimited games and fun with the animals!

We’re sure so many of our community members can relate: caring for an animal weighing 1,200 pounds or more isn’t always the easiest task. 😂 But what it will always be is worth it. 💜🐴

We're officially one week out from our biggest fundraiser of the year! 🎃🍂

Fall Fest is almost here, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

We want as many families to be involved in the fun as possible; that's why we offer:
🎟️ FREE admission
💜 All ages and abilities welcome!

Come spend the afternoon on a real working rescue ranch with your whole family. Bring your best costume and get ready for a day full of fall fun!

🐴 Adaptive pony rides (for all ages and abilities!)
🐐 Petting zoo with our rescued and rehabilitated animals
🎯 Carnival Games & Bounce House
🎨 Face painting, Temporary Tattoos, & Hair Tinsel
👻 Costumes encouraged!

♿ Our petting zoo and pony ride areas are wheelchair accessible, accessible parking is available, and strollers are always welcome.

🎟️ Activity tickets are $3 each or $20 for 10. And NEW this year, skip the ticket lines: sponsor one of our rescue animals for $19/month and get UNLIMITED games!

ALL proceeds go right back into our equine-assisted services for children and adults with disabilities, foster care and post-adoption youth, and veterans and first responders, while supporting the care and rehabilitation of animals who have come to us facing medical emergencies, abuse, and neglect. 🐾 ALL of the animals you'll meet at Fall Fest are here because of that support.

This year, every game will be hosted by a local organization that shares our mission. These groups provide resources for mental health, recovery, individuals with disabilities, and more, so stop by their tables, play a game, and see what support is available right here in our community!

Sweet CharChar was looking quite picturesque in the front pasture the other night, wearing the new blanket that was so graciously donated to him. 💜

We're still keeping a close eye on Charlie, and part of his care plan is plenty of extra love and pets from our wonderful visitors and volunteers! When medical emergencies happen, it's a blessing to know we have a community that loves our animals as much as we do.

We're just under $200 away from covering Charlie's emergency vet bill. If only 10 people sponsor Charlie for $19/month, we'll cover the bill, and every month after that goes toward his ongoing care. 🐴

Sometimes a horse changes our lives in ways we don't fully recognize until much later. 🐴💜

This October, one of our favorite organizations, Horses for Mental Health, is celebrating their new annual Horsetober, a month-long initiative they started to explore the horse-human connection. At the center of Horsetober is a powerful symbol of connection: the braid.

Just as individual strands come together in a braid, every story shared adds another strand to a larger celebration of horses, people, relationships, and communities.

Is there a better way to sum up what we do at HHH Ranch? Through equine-assisted programming, our rescue horses and human participants heal side by side. And when you learn to trust each other enough to heal together... that is the strongest kind of connection.

Our programming is designed to create moments with horses that stay with you forever. Because spending time with a horse does more than bring a smile to your face. It steadies your heart rate. It teaches patience. It builds a confidence that follows you long after you leave the barn. That's what makes the impact of horses so special.

And while our rescues' manes more often run long, wild, and free than neatly braided, these horses still weave themselves into our lives in ways beyond words.

Pumpkin Smash is definitely a crowd favorite around here. Fun for all ages, a fun tool to teach emotional regulation during our Stable Moments program, and then a very tasty snack for the animals! 🍽️

🪑 WISHING WEDNESDAY: Pull up a chair.

This week, we’re highlighting one of the simplest things on our wishlist: chairs for our Recreation Center.

This week, we're completely rearranging our recreation center so it can better serve the foster care and post-adoption children who come to HHH Ranch through Stable Moments. We want it to feel comfortable, calm, and intentional — a space where kids can walk in, settle down, play games, do arts & crafts, and know there’s a place for them here.

Sometimes, that starts with something as simple as having a chair waiting for you.

Chairs are one thing we could really use right now, but our full wishlist is filled with items that help us care for our animals, maintain the ranch, and continue building better spaces for the people we serve. If something else on the list speaks to you, you can choose absolutely anything.

🐷 Piggy for adoption!

Meet Fred! Just like our two resident piggies at the ranch, Fred is a Vietnamese Potbelly. At just over 2 years old and around 80 pounds, this handsome little guy is sure to absolutely melt your heart. 💜

Fred is neutered, potty trained, up to date on his vaccinations, halter trained, and will even sit for treats! During the cold winter months, he also knows how to use a litterbox. He’s one smart boy! 🤓

Fred has previously lived with goats and turkeys without any problems. He can be a little aloof while he takes his time getting to know someone new, but once he warms up to you, he’s ready to be your friend. And we mean… just look at that cute face!

Fred’s current family loves him very much, and finding him a new home is not a decision they’ve made lightly. Unfortunately, they do not have the proper shelter needed to comfortably get Fred through the Illinois winter, so they’re hoping to find him a home that can give him everything he needs year-round.

Fred would love a home with plenty of room to explore, play, and be his full spunky self. He is currently located in Bonfield, IL, where he will remain until he finds his forever home.
